How to Make an Appointment with the Federal Workforce Career Center (FWCC)

If you are a displaced federal employee or federal contractor impacted by federal budget cuts, we’re here to help. Follow these steps to connect with our team and access services.

Step 1: Register on Maryland Workforce Exchange (MWE)
Visit mwejobs.maryland.gov and create an account.

Step 2: Upload your required documents to MWE
Before your appointment, upload clear, unexpired copies of:

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. (U.S. Passport, Permanent Resident Card, or both a state-issued photo ID and U.S. birth certificate)
  • Proof of federal separation (SF-50, separation, or furlough letter)

NOTE: All documents must be valid and at least one that includes a photo. Appointments cannot proceed until all required documents are uploaded into MWE.
